Antwerpen, Belgium – March 9, 2015 – Capital-E Partners announces the final closing of its new early stage fund, Capital-E II Arkiv Comm. V.A. (Capital-E II)
Capital-E II is the company’s second venture fund and focuses on the underserved electronics and advanced material sectors in Europe.
The fund invests in European seasoned teams with strategic and patented technologies that provide better solutions for large replacement markets.
The new fund totals 56 m € in capital commitments. It is managed by the same team as the first fund, which combines a mix of entrepreneurial, industrial and VC experience.
The fund has a privileged relationship with IMEC, the largest independent research centre in micro- and nano-electronics in Europe, both in terms of investment and access to technology/know how.
New investors in the second closing include the European Investment Fund, FPIM and BNP Paribas Fortis.
As of today, Capital-E II has invested in three companies and is in final negotiations on one more investment opportunity which it plans to close by the end of the month.
